CHAMPION SEREGON BASIL RATHBONE - dad of both available litters

Basil

Basil is a very handsome marbled boy with wonderful rich colours. He has put fantastic type into my current kittens, particularly the heads and there is already a fantastic depth of colour in the background of their coats which are rosetting nicely. Basil is at stud at Zawadi Bengals

Wothorpe kittens are either born upstairs in my special kitten nursery or in the kitchen in front of the Aga. They spend the first few weeks of their lives listening to Radio 4 and being loved and cuddled at every opportunity. They are gradually introduced to all the usual domestic hazards that can be so scary for a small feline.

If you are wondering why pedigree cats are kept with their mother and siblings for thirteen weeks please read " When should a kitten leave its home?" by Barbara C French (go to the "Links" page). It explains that kittens learn so much from their mother and gain hugely from the comfort and security of their siblings. They are not really mature enough to leave home at only eight weeks and miss out on a big part of their “education”. It all makes perfect sense.

So at thirteen weeks old your happy little Wothorpe kitten will be ready to start a new life with you. He or she will be well handled, sociable and litter trained. Your Wothorpe kitty will leave here vaccinated, GCCF or TICA registered with a copy of the pedigree and four weeks free insurance with Petplan. The kittens will have been vet checked and completed a preventative course of worming and flea treatment. They will also have a goody bag with samples of their favourite food and a box of their usual cat litter to help them settle in. A care sheet is always included. And I will be at the end of the phone should you need me!
